About Molde
The Student OrganisationThe Student Organisation in Molde (SAMFUNNET) organises activities covering most areas of social life among students. They have their own office where you can get more information.

Below are some examples of the range of activities you may participate in as a student at Molde University College. We recommend you to participate actively in at least one of these clubs, as this will ensure that you get new friends quickly. Not every group is active every year, depending as they are on interested students.

The sports society

The sports society arranges basketball games, bandy, soccer games, volleyball games, and take you to aerobics classes, swimming, diving, fishing, boating, Telemark-skiing and mountain climbing. These are just some of the activities available. Mostly the participation is free of charge and equipment can be rented for a small fee.

Student newspaper

The student newspaper at Molde University College has its own team of reporters and editorial staff.

Student radio network

The student radio network broadcasts news and plays music for the students and for the local community of Molde.

Other leisure activities

The city of Molde can offer a wide range of cultural activities such as theatre, concerts, exhibitions, nice cafes and restaurants, pubs and nightclubs etc. Announcements of happenings you can find in the local newspapers.

The landscape and surroundings of Molde offers endless opportunities of outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, hunting, cycling, diving, kayaking, skiing and so on. Molde has a skiing resort just a few minutes drive outside town. Here you can find nice slopes and also off-piste areas.
