Guidelines for Full Papers

Introduction
The International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (IJSSCM) would like to publish a special issue from this Conference. All papers presented in Molde will be considered for this issue.

Originality
Prospective authors should note that only original and previously unpublished manuscripts will be considered for review. Furthermore, simultaneous submissions are not acceptable. Submission of a manuscript is interpreted as a statement of certification that no part of the manuscript is copyrighted by any other publication nor is under review by any other formal publication. It is the primary responsibility of the author to obtain proper permission for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript, prior to the submission of the manuscript.

Style
Submitted manuscripts must be written in the American Psychological Association (APA) editorial style. References should relate only to material cited within the manuscript and be listed in alphabetical order, including the author's name, complete title of the cited work, title of the source, volume, issue, year of publication, and pages cited. Please do not include any abbreviations. See the following examples:

  • Example 1: Single author periodical publication.
Smith, A.J. (2001). Databases and organizations. Database Ideology Review, 16(2), 1-15.
  • Example 2: Multiple authors periodical publication.
    Smith, A.J. & Brown, C.J. (2001). Organizations and Database Management. DataSource, 10(4), 77-88.
  • Example 3: Books.
Smith, A.J. (2002). Database Booklet. New York: J.J. Press.

State author's name and year of publication where you use the source in the text. See the following examples:

  • Example 1: In most organizations, data resources are considered to be a major resource (Brown, 2001; Smith, 2000).
  • Example 2: Brown (2002) states that the value of data is recognized by most organizations.

Direct quotations of another author's work should be followed by the author's name, date of publication, and the page(s) on which the quotation appears in the original text. See the following examples:

  • Example 1: Brown (2001) states that "the value of data is realized by most organizations" (p. 45).
  • Example 2: In most organizations, "database resources are considered to be a major organization asset" (Smith, 2001 pp. 35-36) and must be carefully monitored by the senior management.

For more information please consult the APA manual or review previous issues of the Information Resources Management Journal.

Review Process
The goal of the review process is to evaluate the accuracy and significance of submitted manuscripts and to provide the authors with constructive and timely feedback. All submissions are to be reviewed for overall fit according to the mission of IJISSCM. All papers are refereed through a double blind process by at least three members of the International Editorial Review Board of the Journal. The Journal requests that all referees complete their reviews within 6 weeks in order to permit prompt feedback to the authors. Revised papers should be reviewed within 4 weeks. Return of a manuscript to the author(s) for revision does not guarantee acceptance of the manuscript for publication. The final decision will be based upon the comments of the reviewers and Associates Editors, upon their final review of the revised manuscript.

Copyright
Authors are asked to sign an "Author's warranty and Transfer of Copyright Agreement" upon acceptance of their case before the manuscript can be published. All copyrights, including translation of the published material into other languages, are reserved by the publisher, Idea Group Publishing. Upon transfer of the copyright to the publisher, no part of the manuscript may be reproduced in any form without written permission of the publisher, except for noncommercial, educational use such as for classroom teaching purposes.

Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted by e-mail to paper.scm.conf@himolde.no as a file attachment in Microsoft Word format. The deadline is 15 October 2008. Papers should be double-spaced and usually fewer than 7500 words, including all references, tables, graphs and appendix items. A cover page should give the title of the paper, the authors' names, addresses, institutional affiliations, telephone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses. The first page of the manuscript should include the title of the paper and an abstract of 150 words or less. The abstract should not contain formulas. Do not include author information in the submitted paper, except on the cover page. Make papers as concise and brief as possible.
