Norwegian Conference for Organizations Use of
Information Technology, Molde, Norway, 20.-22. November 2006
NokobIT is a yearly scientific conference in information science and
technology. Information science and technology is defined in the broadest
sense. The intention of the conference is to allow researchers and practitioners
from multi-levels and multi-discipline backgrounds to have a forum to develop
their knowledge in the field of IT. The forms of presentation are presentation
of research activities, discussion forums and panel debates.
We especially invite doctoral students that wish to try out presenting
their research topics in a comfortable and safe environment. This years
NokobIT is the 14th in the series. NokobIT has primarily brought
together academics in the Norwegian community. However, we welcome
and encourage international contributors as well. The conference has
been co-located in the same conference venue as the Norwegian Informatics
Conference since 1999.
NokobIT 2006 will in accordance with earlier practices invite papers
in the area of information science and technology with the wide definition
of this domain. The academic area has become more important in today's
society with its focus on Information Communications Technologies (ICT)
and in a context that goes beyond the purely technical. The information
scientist perspective helps us to understand how ICT today permeates and
forms our society at all levels.
