Organizing workshops where project partners meet to work out the plans and the context of the joint courses.
Joint teaching and supervision including guest lecturing
Joint teaching in the new course on Arctic Logistics, guest lecturing in the existing courses and joint supervision of students on Arctic Logistics and related topics.
Carrying two Norwegian-Russian Summer schools on Arctic logistics and related topics at Summer schools at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
Development of database, information search system and decision support tools
Collection and acquisition of information and data on Arctic Logistics and related topics from open and other available sources, development of the Norwegian-Russian database on logistical and environmental management of natural resources development, maritime transportation and other activities of Norway and Russia in the neighboring areas in the Arctic.
Regular workshops for academic and research staff from partner institution including PhD and MSc students participating in research activities, twice a year in Russia and in Norway.
Publication and presentation of project results
Publication of teaching material for the new course and the Summer schools on Arctic Logistics, research workshops materials, books of selected student papers, scientific papers, project webpage, presentation of project results at international scientific workshops and conferences.
Short-term and long-term mobility of PhD and MSc students from Russian partner institutions to Norway and from Norwegian partner institutions to Russia. The purpose of student mobility is to take part in the intensive courses and Summer schools, to participate in the joint research workshops, to teach guest-lectures and to work on PhD, MSc theses and research papers under joint supervision of academic and research staff from partner institutions.
Collaboration with enterprises
Cooperation with enterprises in the public and private sector in logistics in such forms as joint R&D projects and involvement in work on PhD and MSc theses. Examples of cooperating enterprises include but not limited are oil and gas companies, suppliers and service providers for oil and gas industry, shipping companies, state organizations and research institutes working with Arctic logistics and related fields.
