How to apply for exchange

Here you will find a simple procedure for how you can proceed if you wish to go on an exchange through Molde University College.

Application deadlines

It takes time to organize exchange. Therefore, you must apply well in advance before you travel:

  • Autumn semester 10 February
  • Spring semester 10 September

Choice of institution

First, you should look at which partner institutions you can and want to travel to. These can be found here:

Partner Institution Overview

Visit the websites of relevant host institutions to get information about course selections and other information you may need. You must at least attend courses corresponding to a full semester here at home, 30 credits. At some institutions, they use a different credit system, pay attention to this when choosing courses. In case of doubt contact the international coorinator

Remember to attach:

  • English Transcript of Records from Molde University College (available from Student Services) 
  • Diploma from Upper Secondary School (in English)

Based on your wishes and qualifications, the international coordinator and the head of studies will approve or reject your application for student exchange.

The approved application form is the basis for starting an application process to the university you wish to travel to. Our host institution abroad makes the final decision on whether you can get an exchange space.

Application form - partner institution

Although it varies from institution to institution, most require:

  • The institutions own application form 
  • Passport photo
  • Insurance
  • Copy of passport

Remember

  • If you are unsure what you want, where you want to go, or anything else in relation to exchange, you are welcome to contact the international coordinator
  • The international coordinator provides you with guidance and help in relation to all the practicalities of the application and the exchange stay itself, as well as Erasmus + grants 
  • The head of studies is responsible for the academic content of the exchange stay, including placements/internships
