Prepare for the digital school exam
1. Keep your PC/Mac updated
You must ensure that necessary updates are installed on your PC/Mac before the exam day, especially the WISEflow Lockdown Browser.
Please note that your PC/Mac must have an operating system supported by WISEflow. If you have not updated your operating system, you will have to write the exam with pen on paper.

2. Browser Requirements
The two latest major versions of the following browsers should be supported by WISEflow:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
It is important that you regularly update the browsers on your PC.

3. Download the WISEflow Lockdown Browser
You must download the latest version of Lockdown Browser via WISEflow, and not from the App Store or elsewhere. You do not need Lockdown Browser if you are taking exams at home, only for school exams.
- Log in to WISEflow with Feide
- Click on your name in the top right and select Edit profile
- Select the System tab
- Click on the button to download Lockdown Browser
- Once Lockdown Browser is installed, you can test it: Click on the button to test browser. This will start a test run, which will verify if Lockdown Browser is working.
Note that you must have local admin rights to install Lockdown Browser on your laptop.

4. Connect your computer to Eduroam
Make sure that your laptop can connect to the wireless network Eduroam at campus.
5. Feide - Username and password
Make sure you remember your Feide username and password before coming to the exam.
Try out WISEflow before the exam
Familiarize yourself with the interface and try out different types of exams with the demoflows in WISEflow. You can log in to WISEflow at any time and take the demo exam as many times as you like:
- Close all other programs
You can try out how free text and other tasks work with the demoflows:
- FLOWmulti
- FLOWlock
Practice how to take pictures in FLOWlock. Note that you must have WISEflow Lockdown Browser installed.
Keep in mind during the examination day
- Always meet 30 minuters before the exam and bring a prepared PC/Mac included charger.
- Mobile phones must be turned off and placed away from your desk during the examination
- Note that wireless mouse and keyboard cannot be used during the exam.

Can I borrow a PC?
Students at HiMolde are required to have access to a laptop PC/Mac to be used in class and during digital exams. You can therefore not apply to borrow a machine on the grounds that you do not own a PC/Mac. Students who forget to bring a PC/Mac to the exam, must answer the exam using pen and paper.
Should something happen to your machine after the exam have begun, you will receive technical assistance and if necessary borrow a machine. Any time lost due to technical problems after the exam has begun, will be added to the total time of your exam.
