What should I be aware about while using AI tools

There are several things you should be aware of when using AI tools. Among other things this:

  • You must be critical of the answers AI tools gives you. You must expect that the tool creates text with incorrect information, but presented in an authentic way.
  • You must check that references in AI tools are correct.
  • You must do a manual check of the answer the AI tool gives you, before you pass on or use the answer it has given you in another context.
  • Remember that you will not get the same answer twice. Do not use AI tools for tasks that require integrity.
  • If you use or pass on text created by an AI tool, the text should be marked as having been solved with the help of AI.
  • Do not use AI tools to process personal data, either about yourself or others.
  • Do not use AI tools to process matters about students or staff.
