Successful conference in Tanzania

The ongoing NOREC project "Children with disabilities and UN rights conventions" arranged a conference called "Children with disabilities and UN rights conventions". The conference received a good media reception in Tanzania.

The conference explored challenges and possibilities in advancing quality education for children with disabilities in Tanzania.

Judith Kiwale from Unicef Tanzania commented on her LinkedIN-account that:

"It was really interesting to see teachers from Tanzania, including those with disabilities, openly sharing how they are best developing their #competence-based teaching practices," with a focus on #positive reinforcement and #socialeducation in order to improve the quality of their lessons delivery, reducing dropout rates and increasing retention rates benefiting from knowledge exchange conducted both in #Patandi Teachers College and Molde University College in Norway.

It is key to leverage #partnerships to effectively support children with disabilities in realizing their potentials and well-being."
