SCM305 Applied Management Science (Autumn 2019)

About the course

Emphasis in this course is placed on practical problem solving and how to apply Excel and other publicly available software to solve real life problems in logistics and business administration. Some examples of topics that are addressed are analysis and monitoring of a purchasing portfolio, analysis of a company's working capital development, profitability and risk assessment when facing different business solutions and analysis of bottlenecks in business processes.

After completing the course, the student should:

Forms of teaching and learning

Multiple gatherings of 2 full days in the PC lab that is concluded with handing in a report. 2 of these reports will be graded, the rest will be pass/non-pass.
