About the course

The development of ERP-systems over the last decades has been one of the key advancements in organizations' use of information technology. An ERP-system supports and automates business processes across functional areas by integrating the organization's functional areas, and sharing information across the organization in real time. This course is a practical hands-on course giving an introduction to how business processes are executed with the support of an ERP system. Students will use a commercially available ERP-system (SAP) to build an understanding of the functional capabilities of such systems. Students will participate in two role plays. One address the operation of a global supply chain spanning several companies, while in the other role play students act as sellers and buyers of an ERP system for a company.
