About the course
Information technology deals with the planning, development, improvement, evaluation and use of programs and computer systems. This course provides an overview of the major topics in Information Technology (IT):
- brief history of information technology
- digital representation of information and transformation
- the architecture and components of a computer
- software systems and programming languages
- communications: networks, the internet, the web technology and internet of things
- cloud computing
- artificial intelligence and machine learning, emerging technologies
- privacy and security
