LOG950 Master's Degree Thesis (Spring 2024)

About the course

The master thesis is an independent, extensive work done under the guidance of an advisor within the discipline. The thesis can be written individually or by two students together. Candidates are relatively free to choose topic for their thesis, but it needs to be approved by the study coordinator. A thesis can be either applied, related to a company or an agency/governmental body, or it can be in the form of a theoretical investigation.

Some general guidelines for the thesis can be found on https://www.himolde.no/english/studies/programmes/master-programmes-in-logistics/guidelines-masters-thesis.pdf

The course is connected to the following study programs

Recommended requirements

Only students enrolled in the MSc program in Logistics can write a thesis under the LOG950 course code. In addition, each candidate must have written a proposal which is approved under the code LOG904-100. LOG950 should be the last course taken within the MSc program. This means that the candidate should have approved 90 ECTS in order to have the master thesis graded.
