Contents
This course will provide understanding of the main concepts of Game Theory and its applications in logistics. The topics covered span from the basic notions of strategies and equilibria, game-trees and backward induction to cooperative games and introduction to mechanism design.
The lectures will combine theoretical concepts with real market applications, such as the use of coalitional game theory to find fair cost allocation within a supply chain. A considerable attention will be paid to the newest research directions in the area of logistics (e.g. routing games).
The course is connected to the following study programs
- Master in Logistics
- Experience-based Master in Logistics
- Master in Sustainable Energy Logistics
- Exchange programme - Master's level
Recommended knowledge
No specific math is required, but some familiarity with basic probability theory is welcomed. Participation LOG745 Industrial Organization and Competition Policy can be a benefit, but not a prerequisite.
