An understanding of risk management is crucial for mitigating or minimizing harm to individuals and infrastructure in the event of unforeseen occurrences. External variables, including epidemics and severe weather events such as storms and hurricanes, can exacerbate risks to both personnel and patients. Additionally, numerous internal factors may precipitate adverse incidents that pose dangers to these groups. The complexity and intricacy of both internal and external factors necessitate thorough analysis. This course is designed to equip students with the skills to prevent or diminish risks, conduct analyses of adverse incidents, and implement strategies to avert their recurrence.
