Organizations today capture and store vast amounts of data across their enterprise systems — yet raw data alone offers little value without the right tools to interpret it. This seminar introduces Business Intelligence (BI) as a practical framework for transforming data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making.
Students will work through the full BI pipeline: preparing data through modelling, loading, cleaning, and storage (the ETL process), followed by analysis and reporting using statistical and operational methods. All work is carried out in Power BI, using a provided synthetic dataset delivered as Excel files. The seminar concludes with a written report summarizing the process, findings, and key results.
This course is designed for students with no prior experience in AI or analytics courses.
Topics covered: ETL process · Data modelling · Data analysis · Reporting and dashboards
