The Master's thesis represents an autonomous scholarly endeavour conducted under academic supervision. This a step-by-step progression from the courses
LOG870 Philosophy of Science and Research Design and LOG798 Proposal.
The pedagogical objective is to provide students with a structured, incremental process culminating in the completion of a master’s thesis. Consequently, the incorporation of previously developed material from the Philosophy of Science and Research Design and Proposal stages into the Master's thesis is permissible and does not constitute self-plagiarism.
The Master's thesis is to be collaboratively authored by a pair of students, resulting in the submission of a joint thesis. Exceptions to this requirement may be granted under exceptional circumstances.
Preferably, the Master's thesis should be associated with a project or issue pertinent to the student's current place of employment. In instances where the student is not employed, the thesis should nonetheless be connected to a relevant company or organization. The allocation of supervisors is contingent upon the thematic focus of the proposal.
