New and updated Corona regulations

After the government announced new guidelines and measures during yesterday's press conference, the extended emergency preparedness team at HiMolde has met today.

The national measures made by the government affect the activities at our campuses in several areas:

  • There is a wish that the students will be able to return to campus and we are asked to facilitate more physical education from Monday 17 January.
  • This means that in the future both physical and digital teaching, a so-called hybrid solution will be offered.
  • Maximum limits have been set for how many people can be present during lectures, with a maximum of 200 in auditoriums with fixed seats and 30 in ordinary classrooms with loose chairs.
  • Allocated lectures will be as set out in the timetable. It is up to the lecturer to divide the students into smaller groups, regarding who can meet.
  • Exceptions apply to subjects with skills training, which require physical education.
  • All students must follow Canvas about what applies to their subjects and their teaching.
  • The teachers must therefore be careful to inform their students through Canvas regarding the completion of the teaching.
  • Internships are carried out as planned. Students comply with the infection control rules that apply to the practice site.

Open campus for students

  • We emphasize that our campus is open to students. The canteen is open. The same applies to the bookstore, library and other service functions, and we encourage students to return to our campus.
  • Although the general recommendation is that it should still be arranged for a home office, more use of physical education means that more employees meet at the workplace.
  • It is important that everyone contributes to all infection control advice being followed, and that you are at home in the case of symptoms.
  • Remember to keep a distance of 1 meter, and use a face mask if you cannot keep the distance requirement.
  • Continue to be careful with hand hygiene. You can find disinfectants all over the college's campus.
  • You should NOT come on campus if you are ill or suspect infection.

Contribute to infection tracing

The government is also making changes to the strategy on testing, isolation, tracking and quarantine. The individual must now make sure to notify their close contacts in the event of a positive test. This will also apply to students.

Drop-in vaccination

We encourage everyone to get vaccinated. Bring your passport or ID card. If you are going to take the refresher dose, you must have received dose two at least 20 weeks ago (4.5 months).

In Molde, you may take the vaccine in Molde town hall on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 January from 16.00 to 18.00.
