Molde University College has received a limited number of rapid tests for detecting Covid-19 infection. Students and employees who have been in close contact with a household member, or equivalent, who have been diagnosed with an infection, can contact Student Services to be given a quick test.

Some exchange students at Molde University College have tested positive for Covid-19 .  All exchange students  lives on Molde Campus or Kvam and there is reason to believe that more students may be infected.

The government has introduced several national and regional measures to delay the spread of the omicron variant of the coronavirus. The measures take effect from midnight onwards. Universities and colleges must comply with the requirements for infection control-sound operations that are laid down in the covid-19 regulations.

In week 33, a new academic year begins at Molde University College in Molde and Kristiansund. We are still in a pandemic and we are still in phase 3 of the government's reopening plan.

Yesterday, the government presented concrete measures in the first step of the reopening. The emergency response team has met today and laid out a plan for how we will implement this at our campuses. The following applies at Molde University College in Molde and Kristiansund, starting Friday 16 April.

We are approaching Easter and we therefore expect an increased mobility in the society. HiMolde takes the ongoing infection seriously and the emergency response team has therefore decided to introduce some reinforced measures among employees and students in the coming weeks. (Updated 24 March)

On Monday,  the government presented the new national guidelines for infection control and handling of Covid-19, and here it is stated that we will continue to provide digital education. At the same time, we will also offer students campus tuition where possible. The institutions are given the freedom to decide for themselves when possible, in consultation with local health authorities.

A student i Kristiansund has tested positive for Covid- 19 on Thursday evening (1.10.20). It has therefor been decided that only digital teaching will be given for students at Kristiansund Campus. The student has been isolated and several will be quarantined. Molde University College has a close dialogue with the infection control team in Kristiansund municipality.

It is important that students can conduct all exams the autumn semester in the best possible way. The school has therefore decided that examinations during the autumn semester 2020 will primarily be home examinations.
