Norway is reopening- How does this effect Molde University College?

The Government has decided to reopen Norway, but with increased preparedness, from Saturday 25 September - Now we can live as normal, Erna Solberg emphasizes.

What does this mean for Molde University College's two campuses?

HiMolde follows the national guidelines for the reopening of the country. Here are the most important:

  • The meter is no longer valid, even outside the lecture halls
  • We are reopening the office zones
  • Until further notice, disinfection alcohol will be placed in central locations
  • Restrictions on the number who can be together at events are lifted, for example in the canteen, Smuget and Studenthuset in Kristiansund.
  • The training room in the A-building, Molde Campus, is opened for use according to the same guidelines as before the corona situation occurred.

Other relationships

  • Regarding the exam for the autumn semester 2021, there will be no change in relation to what has been previously decided. That is, the main rule is the digital home exam.
  • Until further notice, the offer of digital teaching in addition to physical teaching is maintained. We are planning a gradual transition to mainly physical education. If you are in doubt about what applies to your study program, go to Canvas or contact your study leader

Advice on respiratory symptoms

  • If you get symptoms of a respiratory infection, you should still get tested. This also applies to vaccinated people.
  • If you are infected with corona, you must isolate yourself to avoid infecting others. It will not be a recommendation, but a rule that you can be fined for breaking.
  • It is recommended that unvaccinated people living with someone who has been infected should be tested or quarantined. This applies regardless of whether you get symptoms or not.
  • Other unvaccinated close contacts do not need to be quarantined but should take a test.
  • We also keep the advice we have become so familiar with: About washing your hands often, coughing in a handkerchief or in your elbow and staying home if we are sick.
