Get started for employees
The Teams-app is installed on your HiMolde-PC, and you will find it either in the Windows start menu or the taskbar.
Contact IT-support if you require Teams assistance on your PC.
- Make sure the Teams-app on your PC is connected to "Høgskolen i Molde" (upper right corner in Teams). Selecting a different organization will prevent you from receiving phone calls.
- If you need to connect to another organization you can use the Teams webclient.

Teams in multiple tenants
Make sure the Teams-app on your PC is connected to "Høgskolen i Molde" (upper right corner in Teams). If you are connected to another organization/tenant you will not receive phone calls.
Use the Teams webclient if you need to connect to another organization.
Install external organizations as Teams apps
You can install external organizations as an app using the Microsoft Edge browser.
- Open the MS Edge browser and sign in to Teams: teams.microsoft.com
- Switch to the external organization, e.g. "Sikt (guest)"
- Select the menu (three dots) in Edge. Hover over Apps then select Install this site as an app
- Follow the instructions to install the app
When the external organization is installed as an app it becomes available on your start menu and in the taskbar. Right click the new app and choose the "Pin to taskbar" option if you want to keep the app in your taskbar.
Phone - Make a call in Teams
Menu selection for calls in the desktop/PC app:
Select Calls [1] in the left menu. Type in a name or number [2] then click the Call [3] button.
In the mobile app you can make calls through the menu selection Calls.
Configure audio devices
Click the menu (three dots) in the upper right [1] , then Settings [2]
Select Devices [1] to configure your Audio devices [2]. In the above screenshot the Jabra headset is chosen as both speaker and microphone. You can verify your audio setup with the "Make a test call" button.
If you want your speakers to ring for incoming calls, select your speakers in the Secondary ringer [3] drop-down list.
Auto-start Teams at sign-in
If the Teams app doesn't start at sign-in you can change this in the Teams app settings:
Click the three dots menu in the top of the Teams window [1] , select Settings [2]
Choose General [1] and scroll down to and enable the Auto-start application[2] option.
