Areas of Work
I am a registered nurse and employed as an Associate Professor (First Lecturer) in Nursing at the Department of Health and Social Sciences. I teach using various instructional methods and supervise students in theory, in the skills lab, and in clinical practice within the Bachelor’s degree programme in Nursing. I have many years of experience as the subject coordinator in the areas of medication calculations and medication management, both in nursing education and in the social educator programme.
Furthermore, I am the academic lead for the continuing education programme “Safe Medication Management.” This is a practice-oriented programme for nurses, social educators, or others with a relevant bachelor’s or higher education who are involved in medication handling. In addition, I teach at the master’s programmes within my field at the Department of Health and Social Sciences.
Areas of Interest
Safe medication management, patient safety, and quality improvement are key areas of interest and shape my professional and pedagogical development work. I have a strong interest in methods for quality improvement, including the PDSA model in change and improvement processes within health and social services.
Research and Development Work
The projects I have worked on primarily focus on change and improvement processes within health and social services.
