Supply Chain Management

This research group was established in 2019. The group has since filed several research project applications and developed a new study program.

The SCM research group has established connections and partnerships with the local fish-farming sector and also, partnered with research institutions, who specialize in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and electronics. The partners have responded to the Blue Growth Programme contributing to the sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth. The partners bring their joint competence in sustainability, managing production operations based on AI, supply chain coordination through information exchange, energy efficiency analysis, circular economy, supply chain risk analysis, and preparedness logistics.

The SCM group has also responded to Diku's call aiming to offer online study programs for the laid-off and unemployed. A one-year bachelor-level program in Logistics and Risk Management has been offered in the 2020/21 study year (Nettilbud for permitterte og arbeidsledige). Three new courses have been developed for the program: Introduction to Risk ManagementApplied Risk Analysis, and Risk Analysis in Management.

The group has also initiated a study of the attitude towards various kinds of risks and risk management practices in Norway in the light of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The aim of this project is to measure resilience level of manufacturing companies in Norway and to compare it with various performance indicators.
